Extra-curricular courses
Jacarandà offers a variety of afternoon courses for preschool children in Milan from October to May. Book your trial lesson for the first week of October!
The courses will be activated with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants on Monday and Thursday afternoons (you can choose either one day or both) from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM, running from October to May.
YOGA KAY – led by Alice (Linfa section teacher)
Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) offers an extraordinary curriculum designed to encourage children to stay active, build confidence, and manage the wide range of emotions they experience in their daily activities.
The teacher will implement this incredible system, which incorporates cardiovascular conditioning, fun and original music, along with all the traditional benefits of Yoga, such as meditation, breathing techniques, peace, and deep relaxation.
The program is entirely in English, and at the end of each session, there will be a short conversation in English. For children approaching this discipline for the first time, Italian will be used as support until they feel independent and confident in their practice.

PLAY IN ENGLISH – led by Kelly (Germoglio section teacher)
The English-language sessions will take place in an engaging and fun environment, using music, games, dance, art, and storytelling to give children the opportunity to explore new words and develop their language skills.

ART ATELIER – led by Isabella (our Atelierista)
Color is a powerful tool and a fundamental experience for children; it stimulates and enhances the development of imagination, creativity, and new possibilities, offering diverse expressive pathways.
In this journey, we will explore the origins of colors—starting from primary to secondary and complementary colors—along with infinite shades and chromatic combinations. We will create natural color palettes by extracting pigments from plants and exploring the transformations of natural chemical processes.
Children will discover a variety of artistic tools such as tempera, watercolors, water-based inks, and oil pastels, as well as different types of paper and essential materials for their creations. Finally, we will practice real-life graphic representation of natural elements and delve into self-portraiture, using the color schemes that feel most personal and expressive.

MUSIC WITHIN – led by Sara (Germoglio section teacher)
Music lives within us and branches out through our bodies.
The Music Within Us project aims to intertwine body language with musical expression, developing motor-spatial and rhythmic skills (through pulse and rhythm-based expression games), expressive abilities (through body movement and dance), vocal skills, and emotional connections (as music influences relationships among peers).
These experiences will be introduced through playful activities, fostering children's learning in an engaging way. The goal is not only to teach musical skills but also to cultivate self-awareness, social awareness, and the ability to listen to one’s own body and its needs—while playing with music.
